***EXCITING NEWS***

This coming Saturday 19th August, Chester RC will be hosting a Journalist from Cycling Weekly to feature in their “Ride with…” article of the magazine (Comic)!!!

We have selected our most popular Saturday morning features in order to best reflect our Club as the all-encompassing family which it is.
Should you or your Children be interested in taking part in any of the events below, please respond to the Facebook invitation.

All Club Members are encouraged to wear the current Club Kit (sponsors and colours) for the event, especially when cycling.
Those who do not have current Club Kit then please where something neutral…

9.00am – Saturday Club Run
Saturday Riders will leave Ruben’s Café for a 50mile Tour de Cheshire, the route is being finalised and will be published shortly.
The Journalist will be present at the Café from 8.30am to take pictures and meet cyclists

11.00am – Go-Ride Session
The Go-Ride coaches are organising their normal Saturday sessions at the NewScene in Upton/Newton, Chester. The Journalist will be experiencing the wonders of our younger Club members and taking photos from approx. 11.30am onwards during the normal sessions.
N.B. We will be asking parents for their permission for photographs to be included in CW during the morning.

12.00pm – NewScene Café stop
We are re-igniting our NewScene café stop, similar to what was in place during the Go-Ride Open Day and Dave Pamph’s surprise 60th…
All Club members are encourage to join us at Go-Ride for a catch-up and natter, whilst also sharing your Chester RC stories. Both the Saturday Skills and Club Run riders will also be joining following their morning rides around the Cheshire Lanes.
Should you be willing to contribute to the event with a Cake, please bring to the NewScene before 11.30am on Saturday morning.

Please let me know if you have any questions or queries regards the events taking place?

Thanks,

James Eastbury
Club Chairman

RIDES

Oulton Park

The Club organises a number of regular rides for beginner, intermediate and advanced ability members. Information about the ride, such as route and meeting point are posted on Strava. Our beginner and intermediate rides are run on the 'start together, finish together' mantra. It's important though that all riders are self-sufficient i.e. puncture repair kit and spare inner tubes and have good lights and mudguards where appropriate. Members are encouraged to wear Club kit for these rides. Non-members are welcome to ride with us but we ask you join the Club on the fourth occasion.

Our advanced level rides will only wait for those who suffer mechanical problems. You will be expected to be able to navigate your own way home if you are dropped from the group.

Our Google Drive has a library of tcx files.
