Sadly our Club Chairman James Eastbury has decided to step down after over 10 years on the committee to focus on his family and demanding work priorities which often take him abroad. Under James’ leadership we have grown as a cycling community and James leaves the club in a much healthier position than when he found it. We are very thankful for James’ support and guidance through the post-2012 boom and the growing pains that brought, and the more recent challenges of keeping the Club’s wheels turning during Covid. We are reassured that, both with James’ partner still our Club Welfare Officer, and with a young family that love riding their bikes, that he’s sure to stay involved with club activities. On behalf of us all, thank you James.
The committee met on 10th July and our Vice Chair Steve Sharkey is taking up the role of Acting Chair until our AGM in October.
The committee is run by a group of volunteers so we appreciate your support and patience through this transition.
