A team of Chester Road Club members have just started an epic challenge to collectively ride 60,000 miles during 2021. This ambitious challenge marks the 60th birthday of the British Heart Foundation (BHF). As well as trying to get a tremendous amount of miles clocked up, the team have also set themselves a goal to raise £2,500 to help BHF in their vision for a world free of heart and circulatory diseases. Most of us will know someone effected by heart or circulatory diseases as it still kills 1 in 4 people in the UK – a shocking and sad fact. Some of the team will also be riding in memory of Colin Watson, a CRC club member who died from acute heart failure in August 2020.
The team are: Sam Marshall, Fiona Marshall, Si Smith, Stephen Armstrong, Colin Thomas, Matthew Fielding, Richard Setters, Ben Colegate, Paul Buckley, Paul Winder, Stu Day, Robert Riley, Ian Powell, Peter Bradley and Stewart Leitch.
If you would like to support the team you can donate to the cause through their dedicated fundraising page https://www.justgiving.com/team/CRC-BHF6000
